Stroller Strides
Stroller Strides is a great group of Mommies who exercise with their children. They are decorating picture frames for a Mother's Day craft and ask us if we wouldn't mind coming out to take some pictures of the kids. We got some adorable shots and had a lot of fun.
Emma & Will
It was so my fun taking pictures of Emma and her little brother Will at Maymont last weekend. They are such cute little kids full of personality!

What to Wear
First ask yourself what look you are going for - formal or casual. If you are going for a more formal look work or church attire will do. For a casual look, of course jeans or slacks with a nice shirt would be fine.
In casual photos some couples and families like to have a more cohesive looking portrait in which everyone is matching. For this, some good combinations are jeans or khaki pants with white or black shirts. You can also do any other color of shirt.
In formal photos in which everyone is wearing something different (ie: Mom and Daughter in dresses, Dad in suit, Son in slacks with a dress shirt and sweater vest) a more cohesive look can be attained by each person's outfit having a similar color. For example, if Mom and Daughter's dresses both have blue in them, Dad can wear a blue tie and the Son a blue sweater vest. This will help to pull the photo together and keep the focus on the subjects - not the outfits.
Something else to think about is what color looks best on you. Consider eye color and skin tone when choosing an outfit. Outfits with different hues of blue can enhance blue eyes while corals and pinks can enhance skin tones.
Sticking with solid colors and outfits with minor patterns is smart. If your outfit is too busy, attention will be on it and not you.
